Profiled Spruce boards (cladding) for walls and ceiling

  • Spruce imported from Austria with dimensions 12.5 x 96 x 2000mm,
  • Cladding is quality controlled by the Federation of European Planing Mills (VEH).
  • no toxic fumes are released, even at very high temperatures in excess of 90 degrees Celsius.

Dual Level Obeche benches

  • Floating (open fronts) to ensure relaxing reclining, easy cleaning under benches and maximum air circulation.
  • Each bench +- 550mm wide with gaps between each slat.
  • one high level bench on one side
  • one low bench on the other side

Non-slip Duckboards of Obeche

  • removable for easy cleaning
  • duckboards in front of benches only
  • All Obeche benches and duckboards are hand-selected and Arrised with dimensions 69mm (wide) x 22mm (thick), screwed and glued from underneath.

Fully insulated walls and ceiling with 40mm thick non-rotting, non-allergenic, non-irritant and non-separating polyester fiber.

Blind fixings on walls, ceilings, and benches to ensure no exposed nails or screws, which could lead to "hot-spots".

When? - On receipt of Deposit, and before final construction of 4 walled sauna structure and before sauna tiling on floor.


With Whom?  - Scheduled with Project Manager, Electrician, Builder and Architect/Owner. All custom fittings will be supplied and instructions provided for pre-requisite sauna installation requirements; as well as sauna heater location, conduit for electricity, low voltage controls, temperature probe, bench and door positions finalized.

  • Subsequent Site visits scheduled to build sauna +- 7 working days:

When? - after four walled structure is complete, (with roof for exterior structure).
Project Manager must VISUALLY CONFIRM that the following is in place:

  • tiled floor with optional fall for drainage.
  • electricity supply from main DB Board with appropriately rated wiring.
  • If 9kw 3 phase = WIRE 2.5mm thick Four Core & Earth; CIRCUIT BREAKER Three Pole 20 amp OR
  • If 5kw 1 phase = WIRE 2.5mm Live Neutral and Earth; CIRCUIT BREAKER Single Pole 20 amp
  • splash proof isolator switch located in as close a proximity to the anticipated location of the sauna heaters final position as possible
  • 32mm Conduit (with pull wire) for low voltage control wires to be pulled from sauna control area to sauna heater location.
  • 20mm Conduit (with pull wire) for temperature probe to be installed in sauna roof or wall.
  • Light switch with dimmer installed with wiring in conduit leading to sauna roof

 With Whom? Scheduled with Project Manager OR owner, so that the sauna woodwork can commence. 

  • If further site visits are required, because of non-compliance with above specifications after being informed that they are complete, then any additional site visits will be BILLED SEPARATELY by the hour, over and above the contract price.
